Weekend Thread: Endgame 40.6M Friday, 61-62.5m Sat (per Asgard p.49)

Serious question - how on Earth can Endgame’s chances at TFA be dead after a slightly below expected Friday number along with the fact that the weekend hasn’t even taken shape yet?

Just from my perspective. Star Wars 2nd week of release was just killer. From after Christmas through New Years, it made a fuckton of money. Much more than Endgame will in its 2nd week. IIRC, there was even talk of TFA making a billion dollars domestic, but it died out when it hit the wasteland of January.

HOLY CRUMBLING HELL. I had a feeling this would fall but not this HARD. The fact that its 9 million below TFA 2nd Friday. My god. I had hoped that it would be much stronger during the weekend to make up for the lacklustre weekdays. TFA DOM is sadly not going down.

Domestic:  $514,531,638    26.9%
Foreign:  $1,400,000,000    73.1%

Worldwide:  $1,914,531,638

BOM updated Endgames OS gross to 1,4B and worldwide to 1,9B+ so Titanics first run number is toast.

TFA 2nd Friday was also Christmas, and the Saturday increase was barely 15%. Endgame will go up closer to 50% today.

Could be wrong but it seems like the DOM/OS split keeps getting further and further away from each other every day. Makes the WW crown more and more likely.

Yes but China inflates that split heavily because it had holidays in the last few days. After this weekend, China will slow down a lot though and DOM will be getting a bit closer again.

Should still be set for $2.2B on Sunday, no?

Wait, the international number for Thursday was $100m.

It fell 12% from Thursday to Friday?

Is this something to do with China?

The 100m number was wrong because they underreported wednesday and moved the difference into thursday. In reality thursday should have been 91, at least per explanation by @Charlie Jatinder. But also China was 12m lower on friday
