I still have faith in Godzilla 2. Big CGI monster mash should do well in Asia for the same reasons Aquaman did barring some unforeseen localization difficulties or poor quality

I swear that I've never seen a movie more overestimated than DP. Back in the day when the trailer debuted, people went nuts, saying it would break out in a major way, $1b WW was almost lowballing back then, and now it seems it will struggle to reach half of it WW, yikes.

Why would Godzilla 2 be big in China? How did the first one do?
