102.3M OS weekend could be enough to put it No. 1 OS as well, and #1 weekend WW.

China hold is better than expected.

I agree this is a little late but considering the scheduling I'm not sure when they could have fit her solo in except for the window between CW and AIW (maybe beteen AOU and CW except she was having a baby. ) She should have done her solo then even if it meant 4 MCU movies in 2017.  Before that it would have been a tough fit between Avengers, TWS, AOU and CW.

It's not going to be low budget with 1) what they're reportedly paying Scarlett and 2)"low budget" for the MCU is currently $150-165m.

I'd be shocked if opened under $100m  unless the reviews are dreadful (would really be surprised by that though with Feige and Zhao)

She's a long standing Avengers, she's coming off a great appearance in AEG that's going to do about $2.8b which means more potential fans for her solo than even before AEG.  My guess right now it will closer to Raganork, GOTG2 numbers than Strange or AM.

i think chloe zhao is directing Eternals not Black widow? not sure there is a BW director yet.

Pikachu has a devoted fan base but I don't think it's really the kind of film that is going to attract the casual movie audience. Take me for example. I love Ryan Reynolds but have no desire to go see a Pikachu movie. I know nothing about the video game I could care less about the video game and I have no interest in knowing anything about Pokemon.

Nice to see you too long shot have declined. I know it's not going to make a ton of money but maybe word of mouth can somehow get this film a 4 multiplier soican at least maybe break even.

I take you would have disliked/hated DP...if you were ever dragged to see it in theaters...or if you ever see it on DVD, right?
