yes, it's a type of movie that does well in limited release in big cities. it's expansion that's a big question mark.

FWIW I have been hearing some real world chatter about it in my circle  (my mom is excited to see it and she can't stand Megyn Kelly lol), plus it's already filling up for Christmas Day around here so I'd say there's definitely awareness. I doubt it does especially big numbers but I could see it making similar numbers to Vice last year, which would probably be fine since this likely doesn't cost anywhere nearly as much as that did.

Also:

Looks like this is going nowhere.

Nice opening day.... my 50/250 is a good goal point apparently 😁 would be nice if it managed closer to 60m but either way its all good.

Bombshell is doing great for where it opened, have a hard time seeing it play big upon expansion as @filmlover noted playing like Vice would be a good set of markers.

Uncut Gems is also looking at a massive $120K PTA for the weekend from 5 theaters. Wow. The specialty box office is alive again.

Is it true that only 9% of Black Christmas’ audience where under 17?

True is relative. In the screenings that were assessed it would be accurate. Statistically it wouldnt change much in the rest of theaters, especially with as low of a base they have to draw from.

Frozen should be about 367.75 by Sunday after a 20.3 weekend (+111% Sat and -29% Sun : 4.4+9.3+6.6)

If it adds about 4x this weekend for 81 odd more it gets very close to 450 dom

Yeah, I am for the first time really concerned that 450m may not happen. I mean, I thought of it as a possibility but assumed it would hold a bit better overall. Hopefully Christmas is nice to it. Really want Shrek to get knocked down another spot 😂
