Oppenheimer | 2024 Academy Award Winner for Best Picture and Best Director

Florence Pugh as Jean Tatlock, I thought of her when I saw photos of the real woman but wondered if she would be a bit too youthful next to Cillian? Pugh and Murphy have a 20 year age difference, while the gap with Tatlock and Oppenheimer was 10 years. But it's Hollywood, a woman's never too young and a man is rarely too old, lol.

Haven't been bowled over by Rami in his post BoRhap roles but here's hoping...

Nathan Crowley isnt returning to do production design on this. Another long-time collaborator gone. The production designer of Twin Peaks the Return and Manchester by the Sea (this movie is also being edited by the editor of Manchester by the Sea lol) and frequent Art designer of Malick and PTA films is the PD of this now. Costume designer has changed too.

Only major crew members remaining at this point since Nolan Batman days are the producers, casting director, and sound designer.

Interesting that Nolan's decided to change things up like this.

Lots of them have made plenty of money.

Even Nolan himself might be gone from his longtime studio for a new partnership if this is a hit for him and Universal. Sometimes people just tend to part ways and branch out.

Hartnett's coming for the Wes Bentley Award for the decade's random "where have you been?" resurgence from a once-promising young actor who fell off the face of the Earth. Clearly appearing in a Nolan movie (Bentley in Interstellar, Hartnett in this) is all part of the requirement. Taylor Kitsch, your time will come!

Hartnett has one of the most interesting career paths ever. He was one of the most famous people in the world in the 2000s and had crazies offers thrown his way left and right. But he hated being famous and fled LA to move back home to Iowa. Interesting choices.

Pattinson would make a great Oppenheimer. Or maybe this is the Josh Hartnett comeback movie early 2000s women have been waiting for?

Flashback moment to mid/late 2000s prime Excel predictions...

This is funny though because Hartnett and Nolan met regarding Batman Begins. Hartnett decided it wasn't for him and he lamented the fact that it may have cost him opportunities in other Nolan films (like the Prestige).

I wonder if Nolan heard about that and found a role for him here as a result.

Maybe, but also Nolan clearly has a knack for hiring actors who were a thing/almost-a-thing at one point in time (Rutger Hauer, Eric Roberts, Tom Berenger, Matthew Modine) in supporting parts so it may just be him continuing tradition.

How is Josh Hartnett's name not the first one listed in the title? W/ all the late 30s/early 40s women begging to see him on the big screen rushing into theaters for this, he is easily the biggest draw.

I'm super excited for this one but I fear even if its good that the older male crowd won't come out for it cause its not a big franchise movie and it will bomb, hope i'm wrong

I mean, there is a 100% chance this film will "bomb", one way or another. Or maybe it will "explode"?
