I really don’t think Gucci and Bond would have had similar audiences. Gaga appeals to a demo that has been very reluctant to return - females 25+

Gucci is doing very well considering it's biggest target audience has been hesitant to return to theaters for months.

Exactly. Gucci is doing very well considering the hesitance of it's biggest target audience to return to theaters.

The film has great exits at four stars on Screen Engine/Comscore’sPostTrak, an 82% positive score and 60% definite recommend, providing plenty of runway into the year-end holiday. Females turned out at 60% giving the film an 84% positive, with men at 40% with 80%. Close to 40% of the audience said they came out for Lady Gaga, while 32% cited the ensemble cast overall of Adam Driver, Al Pacino and Jared Leto while 34% were intrigue by the Gucci family murder plot. But until then, House of Gucci is looking at a $20M+ 5-day and that’s a victory worth celebrating as 31% of its audience was over 45 and came out; the best result we’ve seen for an older audience film in the pandemic, which is very encouraging for this hesitant audience.

:Gaga:

Will be interesting to see if she makes more movies. The few popstars who succeeded in film - Cher and Whitney Houston - saw their film careers peter out after a handful of hits.

but I was told we’re all gonna die

By who? If everyone who got COVID died it wouldn't be able to spread it would be more like Ebola that is super deadly but does not spread very much because it is too potent.

The tweet is potentially good news but still too many variables we don't know how long symptoms generally last and if it takes a turn for the worst going to likely be weeks if not months before we know the full extent of possibility of severe illness with Omicron.

Anyway it is just a waiting game, got my fingers crossed that Omicron turns out to be a big bunch of nothing.

That is fair didn't see the thread title change, think it is a bit too hyperbolic though.

BOT thread titles snarkily and archly overreact to something?

Why I never!

The Sing 2 Early Access is absolutely blowing off the roof at theaters around here, in Pennsylvania. Saw a guy on Reddit who works at a theater say the single showing is out-selling Raccoon City's 5-day run. Here's how Sing 2 is doing at a big RPX theater outside Philly. Most of this from advance sales already banked this morning. Sing 2 is previewing in at least a third of the theaters within 250 miles of Philly. So this is definitely affecting Encanto's box office negatively:
