I have seen you do this in China thread as well. You share screenshot of stuff in Chinese/Japanese on forum without telling us what they are, assuming we would know.

Doctor Strange Advance Into Overdrive Over The Weekend

The advance of Doctor Strange - In The Multiverse Of Madness went into overdrive over the weekend and showed brisk sales over Saturday and Sunday. The film had already crossed an advance of 10 crore nett before the weekend but now its stands at around 20 crore nett.

 

 

The film is going to take a huge opening with South circuits leading as the three bigger ones (Nizam / Andhra, Mysore and Tamil Nadu) are expected to collect 3-4 crore nett each. Spiiderman - No Way Home collected 33 crore nett late last year but that might be a push as Spiderman is a bigger brand than Strange and also as a film Spidey probably has more for the masses.

 

 

They way the advance is going especially at the bigger multiplexes it will probably look like a 30 crore nett opening day by the time the advance ends on Thursday night. The issue may well be slower movement on the day as advance for this film has been open for almost a month so a lot will be baked into the advance and also it may not have the mass patranoge of the Avengers movies or Spiderman films which may keep the film under 30 crore nett.

 

 

The fact that Dr Strange - In the Multiverse of Madness is challenging the advance numbers of Spiderman - No Way Home is a huge achievement. Hollywood has also had it tough in India post the pandemic as the smaller films show lesser business to similar films before the pandemic but Dr Strange will hopefully show there is no limit for the bigger cinematic film which is a must watch in the theatres.

Which as I would like to point out is something really impressive, in the past 10 years the huge grosses in China have increased the worldwide totals of many blockbusters but we mustn't forget that excluding them the number of films with over a billion dollars falls from 49 to 33 (link to the thread), which obviusly makes it a much rarer and less easily achievable result

NWH OS - Russia/Ukraine is at about $1.04B vs $804M DOM. If MOM keeps a similar ratio then it should do somewhere between $600-700M OS.
