The one where a single slap of worlwide phenomenon Will Smith is heard around the multiverse.

How many actors from the 80''s or 90's can come close to Tom Cruise's star power?

Julia Roberts among names people already mentioned. I don't think there was a bigger female star than Roberts in her prime, she could carry an average movie to a massive box office success with her name alone.

Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt

For star power specifically yes, but Pitt is not a box office draw like Hanks and Cruise.

Edit: Also Pitt was barely around in the 80's. He started off in the 90s

By today's standard Pirates 3 was 16.24+39.91+37.70+34.12+25.07 = memorial weekend of $153.0m. Thurs multi of 7.88x previews.

(Watching 25th hour as I was looking around for info on when At World's End previews started, getting this weird hit of 2000s nostalgia...)

Indy4 with basically 25*6
