PiB surely must be the leggiest animated film of the 21st century, right? Even if we look at 3 or 5 day openings I’d imagine.

Hell, I feel like it even beats a lot of the leggy animated runs from the 80s and 90s too…

that reminds me, how come nobody talks about how horrendously bad Lightyear's legs were for a family film?

People are still confused what the hell Lightyear was even about. The movie not about the toy but about the real person on whom the toy was based but actually the movie that Andy watched in 1995 about a fictional character which featured hard sci-fi tropes.

AINT MAN is gonna be even tinier going forward once its loses IMAX. It must be a huge favorite for the worst SH trilogy of all time status.

Worst trilogy? I dunno about that. I mean, maybe, through the sheer fact that most really bad movies don't end up as a trilogy or they're part of such huge series (far more than 3) that they're constant rollercoasters (a la X-Men).

But it's certainly one of the most "how did they make three of those?" trilogies lol. Just so much meh - despite Kang in this or Ant Man being crucial for Endgame, they're just so inconsequential and forgettable.

Well, Cocaine Bear was terrible. If the entire movie carried the energy, tone, and humor of that extended midpoint sequence beginning in the ranger's office, Universal and Banks would've been cooking. Unfortunately, they doubled down on abysmal human characters, mostly awful comedy that landed with a thud 90% of the time, and gave the titular bear the Godzilla 2014 treatment. And I actually liked that movie!

-So happy for Jesus Revolution

-Avatar still on track to beat IW.

-I don’t think GOTG3 will suffer the same fate as AntMan 3. It’s a higher tier franchise and I don’t see Gunn dropping the ball.

I would not go that far. I think the first one is a pretty good movie, the 2nd is ok and this one is pretty bad. I would say Thor is worse...

I think Ant 3 will be close to estimates. I expect ratios to go higher today and so could see it fall slightly from estimates. Either way it will be close.

The first two are great so the trilogy still nets out pretty solid.

Squandered opportunity though, for now Cap remains the mcu trilogy with the highest floor. Next at bat in just 2 months or so.

I actually used to be a big mcu fan back in the day, but that all changed when antman 1 came out and I realized these movies were wasting my time, to be fair to it my faith was already wavering after thor 2, Ultron and the announcement of a dozen or so movie in 2014, but antman 1 even if somewhat enjoyable, was the one that broke my camel's back

Wow, it declined by 50% or more every single weekend until it was under $100k.  o.O  That's horrendous, especially for something attached to Pixar and Toy Story, however loosely.

I do knew a few people that liked it.  One of them recommended it so I started watching it, part I watched was okay, but I had to stop to take care of something and haven't been bothered to finish it since.  It's been like 6 months.
