LOL this really is the STID of Bond.

  Reveal hidden contents

Except 1 STID was actually a good movie, and two it's plot twist was hinted at (well everyone already knew about) when the trailers were out. and 3 STID fall $29m from ST and SPECTRE is looking to drop about $120m from Skyfall.

Haven't seen the movie yet, but am curious about the 'small' bad character / henchmen/-women... I have in general a kind of soft spot for in the Bond movies:

how was Hinx?

As in is his role compareable to the others in impact, length, ~ coolness? How was Bautista as an actor?

If possible without spoilers in the answer???

It's a horrible retcon. Silva should be allowed to stand on his own. Awesome villain and they attempted to ruin it with Spectre.

Dude, this is a spoiler. <_<

pretty easy to assume what the other guy said reading this post

Only 2.6x multi? Why would it be so low? Movie thats generally well received and aimed at older audience, opening to 70M it will clear 200M no problemo.

It's Batista not Bautista. I can't remember him saying any lines lol. All his scenes were great though, especially the train scene.

Bautista was great and the only thing I liked in the movie. His first line was, "Shit", if you remember :)

It's now sitting at 70% audience on RT, and 7.3 on IMDB. These are around QOS levels when it came out and well below CR and Skyfall's first weeks (even currently)

Spectre doesn't have the WOM or reviews (which matter more to an older audience) that Skyfall had with a 3.35 multiplier. They're closer to QOS with 2.5.   A 2.8 would give Spectre $196m.  It's quite possible.  There's also more competition than there was for Skyfall and Thanksgiving comes a week later in it's run.

I can find just as many 3/5 and 4/5 reviews from the British press. You said "nothing but 5 star reviews," which is not true.

Well you seemed to take my statement literally...

It's pretty obvious you meant it literally judging by the post where you put all those links to supposedly back up your statement. Bottom line is it didn't have critical raves even from the start with a very biased British audience. After seeing the film it's very clear why it didn't have the same type of reception as films like Casino Royale or Skyfall.
