Best films that bombed or disappointed at the Box Office

Recommended Posts

Most of the ones that have been mentioned are on my list, I'll just add two others. Not that they are excellent films, just that they are entertaining enough and had similar elements to films that have been successful.A Christmas Story(More of a classic now than Scrooged, yet made 1/3 of that film's gross)The Shadow(Surely has to be considered at least on par in quality with Batman Forever a year later, yet BF made nearly 6 times more)

I wouldn't say Rango flopped.Anyway, I have to go with everyone on Iron Giant. What a great film.

I agree but Rango was a financial disappointment. Just based on conventional box office wisdom: You want to AT LEAST double your production budget WW before leaving theaters.

I thought. "In Time" Was a very intriguing Idea, and I really liked the movie, the only problem was it seemed under developed. had there been a little more depth to it it could have been fantastic.oh and "The Island" I loved that movie.. I know it's a Michael Bay film. and yes he is not the best director out there, but this was definitely his best film.

Probably a film no one has ever heard of, but it's a live-action/animated film called Osmosis Jones that came out in 2001. It's actually a decent film, you can easily find the full movie on YouTube.

From what I know it cost $70M and only made $14M back
