4 Day Weekend Box Office Perdictions: Mama (30.5m); Broken City (9.7m); Last Stand (6.6m) Nikki

Recommended Posts

ZDT will be a leggy one. Down only -28% this weekend. Should break 100m now, meaning that seven of the nine Best Picture nominees will break 100m. Incredible considering no tentpoles like TS3 or Inception are in the mix this year.Say what you want about Oscar but it tends to get good movies seen.

True. 7 of 9 movies passing $100 mio is definitely NOT AMPAS out of touch with audiences.

Broken City(Mark Wallberg,Russell Crowe and CZJ):$9m(Budget:$56m)VSTLS(Arnold......):$6.3m(Budget:$30m)

Dredd had over $50 mio budget so TLS is definitely making more money.OTOH, Dredd was starring nobodies in a niche comic book movie while TLS was supposed to be Arnie`s big comback on the heels of TE movies. Edited by fishnets

Yeah, Broken City is the real bomb of the weekend. Opening in a market of tons of adult movies with good word of mouth + its own bad reviews killed it. It couldn't do in three days what Contraband did on its first.
