Please learn the lessons from the last one, Steven. Get a good mcguffin, cut down on shitty CGI backdrops and let Indy casually kill a few dozen bad guys this time.

Lucas being out of the loop for this is a positive, since a lot of the bad ideas for Indy 4 were Lucas's responsibility.

Speilberg has been pretty blunt that he had strong disagreements with Lucas during the making of Indy 4.

And add keeping Mutt off screen to that  list....

Well, this is not going to go down well with a certain part of the internet, is it? Not looking forward to the shitstorm if it ends up happening.

I wouldn't mind it myself as long as the actor or actress can embody Indiana as well as Harrison Ford did, and that's where things get tricky. Can anyone, male or female, even do that? But maybe casting an actress instead of an actor would be a way to side-step this issue.

Lara Croft is the female Indy. Did Steven just woke up from a cryosleep

I love Spielberg but, yeah, Lara Croft is the female Indy. That was what the game designers had in mind when they did the first game back in 1996. A little behind the time ,Stephan

Problem is that Lara Croft already has taken that slot, even if the recent film does not get a franchise.

HF is pretty unique.

I can't see anyone with the same qualities male or female.
