Regardless of certain posters trying to create negativity, the good reactions far outweigh the negative ones (like 2 negative reviews so far from A1 haters).

And almost all the positive reviews are saying the film is bettetr than the first. Thats all you need to know.

 

The masses will lap this up as it has the visuals and emotion, like the first film.

Avatar was mixed as well. At this point people were predicting doom like it grossing below New Moon or even Blind Side. Even after midnights came people were not optimistic. Only when friday updates came in things looked better and then there was a snow storm and then sunday increase which upped OW 3m+ with actuals. Then we witnessed history. 

 

Whatever I have seen for this movie is way better. I am expecting substantial boost to presales over next 2 days due to these reactions.
