Weekend Numbers (NGD 24.5M)

Recommended Posts

Don't ask me why but I think Sony did a great campaign with No Good Deed. If I lived in America, I would see it this weekend. The JLo Boy Next Door movie looks terrible, tho.

That looks hilarious. The "teenager" jlo is getting it on with looks about 35.

Henson is the lead in a new FOX TV series and the lead in the #1 film in the USA this weekend. She executive produced "No Good Deed", and the film should be profitable. She also co-starred in the #1 film opening weekend in June - "Think Like A Man" after coming off a series regular role on a hit TV series on CBS from 2011 - 2013.

Three #1 opening films, an Emmy nomination, series regular roles in two major TV series over a three year period?

Her career is better than 99.9% of actors and actresses. She may not be A-list, but her career is stable and steady in studio films and major TV networks.

She may not be A-list as the article points out.  And she herself say she feels treated like a D-list actress.

It's still too early to really say.  I can say that it's about 60% ahead of The Call at the same time of day.  If you were to apply that to The Call's opening Friday you'd get about $9.8 million.

No Good Deed might get a $10M Friday. How is The Drop doing? Variety is predicting a $1.9M Friday. I hope The Drop will do that well tonight. :)

This number isn't final, but if it doesn't decrease, that pushes GOTG over 300 on Friday instead of Saturday. It needed 2.115 on Friday to get there.

Huge jump.

Good enough weekend all around. Wish Drop had more theaters. It's a very well-acted and shot film that functions as a very average crime drama until one scene near the end that is so shocking, badass, and incredibly constructed that it elevates the whole movie at least a letter grade.

These drops seem too good!

18% drop for TMNT and 23% for GOTG.

Edit: and 17% for Let's Be Cops!
