Seeing this tonight!!

I'm not expecting reviews for this to show up until Thursday night (you know they want to keep The Big One from getting completely out there even though anyone who has any idea of this film's history already knows). And even then, I don't think it'll be enough to take this higher than a $25M opening at most.

I suspect...it was 5m...before they thought this Cloverfield thing up.  But still, probably still cheap.  The P&A though...is probably way more than the production budget.

Between this movie and Room, it's quite the time for Missing Young White Woman Held Prisoner In A Bunker. I so wish Mary Elizabeth Winstead would finally land a really juicy lead role and receive major recognition already.

Why would 10 Cloverfield Lane have 12 showtimes at Arclight Hollywood including the dome, just for Thursday previews, there can't be that much upfront demand?

Variety (or HR, not sure) says it's budget is in the mid teens, sounds more accurate, too much production value for 5 million.

It's nice when a movie you're looking forward actually pays off for once.
