SpiderByte
The games are popular but...three hours is a fucking long runtime, especially by horror standards. And a hybrid release. I just don't see it.
SpiderByte
Now we have a site saying...less than two hours?!

SpiderByte
And these are all ticketing sites too, so not just random speculation stuff. Super weird how so many ostensibly reliable places have completely different numbers
Speedorito
It’s a “Choose You Own Runtime” film

It’s not gonna be 3 hours!

Super weird how so many ostensibly reliable places have completely different numbers RT is not a ticketing site. Likely some person over at RT saw a rumor/report and just ran with it. (really, no one knows what the run time officially is yet)

Arlborn
I'm very interested in the second weekend drop for this. 1
Speedorito
Simultaneous release in 2023? Peacock cost either 5.99 or 11.99 a month. A financially conscious person could just sign up for a month, watch it at home (or even with friends), then cancel. Cheaper than a ticket. Or just pirate it if they don’t have Peacock in their region. As for the movie itself it doesn’t look very scary but I’ll check it out eventually. They throwing away money trying to get people to care about Pea****. At least make it a 45 day theater exclusive before putting it in streaming. Speedorito
I guess since the budget is probably pretty low they’re willing to use this movie to primarily drive subscriptions, and believe it can still make money at the box office? I’ve personally never found the series to be all that scary really, it’s had its suspenseful moments, but I always viewed it as more of horror comedy. The cupcake moment in the trailer made me laugh a little…

SpiderByte
Much more reasonable than the previous report but still kinda long by horror standards.
Bob Train
That is the pretty much the exact same runtime as Nun 2, Insidious 5, Scream 6. Very normal runtime for horror. The 3-hour runtime was a placeholder.
