I always do ;)

Take a look at TA ratio (2012) and AoU ratio (2015), when ERs were already crap relative to 2012.

In 2008, TDK had the best ER we have ever seen, and still TDKR, with some worse ER's (not as bad as now, that's true, but still worse), was able to change the ratio in a 12% (53 to 41 domestically).

The ratios, of course, depend on the ERs, but even with bad ERs, the SH genre keeps the progression making the OS gross more predominant than the DOM's. And although we have a new Batman, I think that, since everyone already knows him, Superman has already been introduced, and adding other known characters, the OS potential can compensate the ER factor. I do not think that a high 30s/low 60s is so crazy for this film.

I understand what you're saying but unless dollar weakens in the next coupleof months, I don't see it hitting low 60s  OS. Sad thing, dollar has gotten stronger not weaker over past few months. It cost SW7 over 100M dollars.

My early prediction 450/650/1100

The bad exchange rates will end up costing TFA north of $300 million. (compared to ER a couple of years ago), so yeah, it will shave some millions for sure.

I was talking about ER just from when FF7 and AOU were released. Euro is getting weaker, pound is getting weaker and pretty much same for most currencies including most coveted OS territory of China(Yuan).

Most anticipated movies on Maoyan in the future:

Man from Macau III - 381k want to see 2.08.2016

Mermaid - 347k 2.08.2016

Kung Fu Panda III - 283k 1.29.2016

Avatar II - 220k

X-men: Apocalypse - 200k

Captain America 3 - 200k

Now you see me 2 - 140k

Monkey King 2 - 139k 2.08.2016

Ip man 3 - 134k 3.04.2016

Batman V Superman - 120k

Warcraft - 100k

This was posted by The Good Olive in the China forums over a week ago showing the most anticipated films on the biggest ticket website. A bit surprising that BvS doesn't have more hype...apparently Marvel has more fans in China. Numbers usually pick up closer to release, but CA3 and X-Men both have more hype right now despite coming out months later.

Well, that prediction means 41/59, not so far, and still following the SH trend ratios. I can live with that :)

I do not see it so surprising. I think both X-Men and CA3 could make over $200m in China, and I think BvS should be headed to about 130-150. Just remember that in 2013, Iron Man 3 did over 750m Yuan while Man of Steel was not able to cross 400m. And in 2014, both CA2 and X-Men did over 700m Yuan too. I think it is reasonable to see more interest in Marvel than in DC looking at the precedents.

Me too. China is the wildcard. They love destruction porn and no doubt, Snyder is great at it. BvS could make 200M+ there, if gets great WOM and rest of Asia & LA come to play than we could be looking at 800M+.

Marketing has already started in HK. I saw billboard ads for this today, 8 weeks out. That is crazy and unprecedented. I expect big things from this around Asia even though MoS disappointed in HK in 2013. They just need to market the crap out of it in Asia which seems like the plan.

Yup. The potential is HUGE. But it will take GREAT QUALITY and GREAT MARKETING to realize that. I don't see why it can't match AoU performance (or at least come close) across Asia if it delivers on both aspects.

Suicide Squad also will be one week later in Poland, but without any good reason. :P There is no superhero movie from DC that was realesed in our country on time/ at once with the rest of the world. Maybe one - Watchmen. :(

¡Hala! Marvel ;D it seems like Polish distributors are used to say ;)
