MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS | 10 NOV 2017 | Fox

Recommended Posts

Well it is selling decently at my theater. Adult films seem to really struggle at my theater for some reason but this has already reached what many others have maxed out at for the preview sales. It should reach 100 tickets sold easily and also get more seats added as the sales continue.

Adult oriented films do really well in my town. We got a lot of old people, and I'm sureness they'll all turn up for this.

It's a really good score but not at all what I was expecting. It's not a grand, English sweeping score (most of the time) but a sad one - he really plays the drama at the heart of the story. It takes a backseat in the middle but the music during the reveal is probably the best scored scene of the year so far.

Gotcha.

This isn't Christie it's a damn circus. If David Suchet's Poirot ever met this guy he'd never sanction his buffoonery. In fact he'd probably turn him into dust with just one withering stare.

Cruz, Colman and Pfeiffer do pretty good with what they're given, although the latter gets points taken off for that terrible end credits song. And it's shocking how tolerable, even engaging Josh Gad can be when he's serious and not mugging. Patrick Doyle is here to prove that you can still write an actual score for a movie. But it's all rushed and shouty and overedited with a heaping of really obvious compositing and some woeful CGI.
