Critics aren't irrelevant but I don't see enough hype for Rampage to do big numbers. Maybe it could get 35mil but that won't be good enough. It needs to open as big as possible. 

 

I could see Mario getting passable reviews as long as it isn't another Minions situation but nothing Pixar or Disney level. Making Uncharted into a kid on an adventure film seems like a horrible idea.

Hey, it's staying on course with the high 40s/low 50s right now. Not a total failure with critics considering the source material. Plenty of reviews suggesting that the off the charts charisma of Johson being the saving grace. Not that that has to be pointed out, but it's good to see he hasn't lost his touch here.

Uncharted would be like the easiest fucking movie to make if they based it largely on ideas and plot points from the first two games. But writers and producers are like "We gotta tell our own story."

Should not expect legs specially with Avengers coming up at is week 3, but that was always a big opening type of movie anyway.

Looks like I shouldn’t have drank the kool aid and stuck to my initial gut on this one being too dumb looking to breakout. It’s a non starter on MT and now these reviews aren’t exactly promising. 100m looking pretty doubtful.
