baumer
I expect it to drop from Minions, especially if WOM for Minions is as lukewarm as appears likely. So critics are split and now wom is going to be split?
redfirebird2008
Minions is sinking in "Top Critics". 36% and 5.1 average score, that's bad. 5/10 movie sounds about right.
JohnnyGossamer
So critics are split and now wom is going to be split? Just seems like it's pretty split here on these forums, in addition to critics.. I do expect kids to love it and, honestly, if it opens as big as I expect, I think $375M+ DOM is a foregone conclusion.
MrFanaticGuy34
I expect it to drop from Minions, especially if WOM for Minions is as lukewarm as appears likely. Eh...Minions is a spinoff...so it won't harm DM3 too much. Also , DM1 & DM2 is actually about Gru and the girls...so those elements will be there for the third one. Gopher
So critics are split and now wom is going to be split? Critics aside, I think the film won't get nearly as many repeat viewings from families as DM1/DM2 did.
Ezen Baklattan
Like I said a few weeks earlier, IO could literally be pulled from theaters today and it would still surpass most expectations. Minions will dominate. IO will be fine.

Jay Beezy
Terminator Regurgitation was PG13 too, so I don't see the problem. That was at least closer to an R-rating than TG.

Mattrek
This inflation argument always goes in circles. Movies released at certain times would never gross the same amount in a different year/date. It made what it made because of a huge number of variables we couldn't possibly predict. A movie grosses what it grosses.

A movie grosses what it grosses. not really, that sort of analysis is so basic that is does a disservice to analyzing BO in context. A dollar isn't worth the same over time, it's silly to just say the unadjusted gross is the end all be all gross sorry. Ethan Hunt
How's the buzz for The Gallows in USA? Seems it will be another $13/$30m horror movie. :/ Probably not even that

Usually those two languages open the biggest in the US compared to other Indian ones. This one's Telgu.

I'm guessing a lot of people in Silicon Valley are buying tickets for it, Silicon Valley/San Jose may as well be absorbed into Andhra or Telangana
