Aladdin is my favourite Disney animation - and I like Ritchie a lot, though his last movie Arthur was too fucked up even for me.

King Arthur was entertaining as hell, and Man From UNCLE was fucking awesome. Tone it down a bit Ritchie and I think you could make a great Aladdin

I liked Ritchie when he was making his excellent crime thrillers, but don't like much of his recent work at all.

And some of us thing Ritchie directing is part of the mess......I like a lot of Ritchie's work, but he seems a horrible choice for this. I give you "King Arthur" in evidence. He should go back to making crime thrillers, which he is very good at.

The only reason I'm happy to hear this has wrapped is so Ritchie can announce his next project.

 

Which is hopefully a sequel to a movie that came out ten years ago this year.

You guys know that Ritchie is completely capable of delivering relatively "safe" and competent fare like the Sherlock Holmes films right? The way some of you keep going on about him, people would think it's Lars von Trier directing a Disney live action remake.
