That DC was gonna be seen as the new cool kid on the block.

 

So predictable.

 

Joker just accelerated the process forbidding the MCU having any kind of glow in its moment of triumph.

 

The MCU is now the enemy to strike down.

 

Media needs a narrative to feed their machine.

 

Not that the MCU was ever cool in the first place among cinephiles anyway and that we had serious think pieces from critics arguing it was great and important art.

 

In France the MCU is bashed at every corner in cinephile circles, most french movie youtubers have made big videos about how the MCU is what is wrong with movies and Hollywood today and how it 's jut well,

plain bad.

 

They ALL praised Joker to the HEAVENS saying it was the second  coming of Jesus Christ.

Which is a VERY different thing and well, kinda easy to do.

I’ve enjoyed crisis so far.
 

I’m sure WB would have no issue with doing something like that on film if it’s done the right way, anything that makes them money they’d be interested in doing.  But we won’t see anything like this for a long while on film for DC.

Trailer views mean nothing (TROS would never have a chance to make $600m + Dom and $ 1.2bi WW if we were to rely on trailer views) even more considering that one of the characters died in a movie months ago, BW definitely has a number of trailer views which will not be reflected in the BO, views was inflated cause his death in Endgame.

 

WW84 audience will probably be quite different from BW, WW84 more feminine and older, while BW will be more male and younger, this Demo also causes a difference in trailer views.

Weird isn't. Fanboys shit on Black Widow for months saying WW84 will completely obliterate this movie and now that they have seen the reception they are back-pedaling by saying WW has completely different audience. 

 

Wonder Woman trailer didn't even trend like Black Widow.

There is a year gap in no MCU films  and 2020 has a dearth in uber blockbuster films.

 

 

So in 2019 BW would be just a normal blockbuster but in 2020 BW will likely be seen as a top film to look for .

On Sunday it is much harder to be multi trending on twitter because of the many big  sports events/games, Last Tuesday there was nothing  to BW compete (today would be harder because of the champions league football games).

 

I think BW will do well at BO, but I doubt  trailer views will match the movie BO.
