MrPink
I can't even imagine what writing fuckery D&D have cooked up for us in the final season. Since Pizzaman seems to be content with not giving us the memes anymore and elevated to competency for Season 3 of TD, GoT will have to deliver Edited January 3, 2019 by MrPink
AndyK
The numbers posted their weekly home video sales data. They run around 2 months in arrears but the latest data for Nov 25th is interesting because it's the first week of the Xmas sales where there is a huge spike. Some interesting takes.. Deadpool2 is tops, selling double IW, even though they were released in the same week (nearly). Black Panther is not in the top 30. Wonder Woman is # 8 and topped IW even after 65 weeks in the chart. https://m.the-numbers.com/weekly-video-sales-chart

It's not like these awards have never had questionable choices before. Sure, if you only look at the stat then GOT s7 was the best TV had to offer in 2017. LaughingEvans
But surely the awards don't mean much. It's more PR than actual merit that counts there, otherwise Sheldon wouldn't have a ton of them for example. Now the first season of GoT had some great production, but the writing has been abysmal. It cannot be called "great", put next to powerhouses like The Sopranos, The Wire, The Shield etc.

Premium George
First 4 season of GoT were on some another level. Season 4 still remains the best TV season of all time. BB, MM, Sopranos, wire, all these have 1000 times better consistency and are much better shows overall but not even close to the peak of GoT. It's always sunny is the best show of all time. Premium George
This season of GoT will be trash but all the hype around makes it entertaining. Don't know what will be the next superhit show after this or if any show will this popular again worldwide.

That is a great question, only TWD has come close in the last few years. But that show has faded recently whereas GoT only got more popular and acclaimed every season.
