Irrespective of whether you like their films or not, Pixar's pre-TGD box office run was not at all over-rated. Just amazing consistency.

They are averaging 250m dom despite TGD.

 

Quality wise the 1st 11 movies definitely look more solid IMO than the recent 5 (with the exception of IO).

But Dory again I think will be a very good film and will also be a huge grosser.

Yes. Cars 2 at least has redemption in big merchandising profits (not that it justifies how bad it is).

TGD stands out more.

The Thanksgiving opening led to an inflated debut and it got hit hard by competition/theater drops in the following weeks. Its multiplier overall is going to end up in line with the typical Thanksgiving opener.

Peanuts was a bit weak for an animation with good reception.

Is 2.8m short of 3x.
