Fast and Furious 11 or Fast and Furious X-2 should happen at least. You don't end a movie like they did with Fast X.

By the way, how audiences are going to react to

a movie that has no ending?

Spoiler

Dune didn’t have an ending, but people seemed to like it fine, so there’s that. Of course, Vin Diesel is no Denis Villeneuve.

Denis Villeneuve anagrams to "E Luv En Vin Diesel" which I'm convinced is code for them being the same person

Well, it's not totally unprecedented. The issue is usually then they've already shot the follow up.

But a part 1 not getting a part 2 has happened. Remember Divergent?

I don't see how they're going to justify funding the next movie to the investors after how much money this one's going to end up losing. I really don't. I'm with @SpiderByte on this one: there won't be a part 2. They'll instead let it rest for a decade and then do a low budget back-to-roots street racing reboot.

I think part 2 will happen with a much more contained budget than the absurdity that is this film but part 3 will not.

Yeah I can´t see them leaving a 20 year franchise on a part 1 movie. Contained budget and part 2 to wrap it up seems likely.

Yup. I know divergent part 2 got scrapped but that franchise was dead and never getting touched again. This is going to get rebooted or come back eventually when the nostalgia comes, you don't want fans to be too soured on a fucking cliffhanger ending for the franchise lol.

Plus let's be honest, this film will obviously be a money loser due to the enormous budget but it's not like as long as part2 gets it under control it's going to be a huge financial disaster.

Not gonna happen if Vin and cast refuse to reduce their salaries. Salaries and too many people to pay to are probably main reasons of such a bloated budget. Plus they are teasing The Rock who's very greedy.

So the review embargo is lifting after the movie will have been out in some markets, just like Shazam. Not that reviews really have been important for the franchise, but they clearly know critics will most likely destroy it. That said I really hope WOM is good. I like this franchise even tho I hated F8 and F9. Don´t want it to end without a completion.

For sure, but this is Universal's biggest franchise. Divergent never even hit $300m WW.

I think Part 2 happens unless this REALLY tanks, like 500m range. Even if it does on par with F9, it'll lose money but they can blame it on the director change.

I don't think Fast X Part 3 is happening unless this somehow hits a billion.
