BLAIR WITCH | Sequel to THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT | 9/16/16 | The Blair Witch returns as The Blair "Blair Witch" Witch

Wow, that's a surprise. Blair is probably one of the very few horror movies I actually liked. Really fucking scary though, that last(?) scene inside the witch's house will forever be etched in my mind.

I actually never watched it again and I still remember a lot of it, so damn creepy.

HORRIBLE trailer. Dont wanna go all Ghostbro over this shit but BWP didn't rely on jump scares and violence to be scary

Poor Jack. You were excited for like 5 minutes. Bloody Disgusting's review (didn't read the whole thing), was excellent. Hopefully more mainstream reviews follow suit.

I still fucking hate going into basements. Mike facing the corner + Heather screaming at the top of her lungs will forever be a top horror movie moment for me.

BWP was shot about an hour from my house. Burkittsville is a real town. You couldn't find it if you weren't looking for it though.

BWP was mostly filmed in Seneca Creek State Park. At the time I lived and worked in that area, and news of the production made the rounds. It's a scary film but I think much of its effectiveness stemmed from the disorientation caused by the shaky, handheld camera work. I haven't seen it since it came out so I don't know if it's as disorienting on a tv screen.

Well, if this isn't the most out-of-nowhere GOTCHA! I've ever heard of...

10 Cloverfield Lane is still more WTF than this. No press whatsoever and a trailer just appears with 13 Hours on the night of previews, no leaks at all.

I mean, it is so effective because of how it is filmed. It does disorient and has an real, tangible quality. It's easily the best found footage horror movie ever.

To pull a quote from Roger Ebert in his review of the movie North.   I hated hated hated hated hated hated the Blair Witch Project.  Hated the stupid annoying whiny stupid ass characters.  Hated it's whole nausea inducing found footage gimmick.  And it wasn't scary.  Ooooohhh a pile of sticks.  Fuck  you BWP and whatever fucking bullshit your peddling now.
