MEH-MORIAL DAY WEEKEND BOX OFFICE | Abandon all hope, the box office is dead. 3 day weekend #s X-Men 65M, Alice 28.1M, Angry Birds 18.7M, Civil War 15.1M, Neighbors 9.1M. Bad openings, horrible holdovers.

This Summer is the result of studios moving towards a tentpoles every week kind of schedule. Bombs every week because people are not gonna go to the movies every week to see every sequel produced lol.

It's also the result of a lot of us having unrealistic expectations and then being in turn disappointed. I'm guilty of that as well.
