I dont understand why hollywood keep releasing so many movies in a year, 720 films per BOM in 2016, and this figure only reached 521 in 2009.

The rise of output never correspond to the growth of admission, the admission has been flat for a decade, meaning market cannot accommodate that much of movies, maybe some1 would say foreign expansion, but each country has their own local production as well!

Look at the summer 2017 schedule, it's packed as hell....and would a be stampede between films!

Most films today in 2011 dropped anywhere from 10-12%, which would give RO anywhere from $19.8m-$20.3m today. As always, there's the possibility it could drop harder, especially coming off of a Discount Tuesday, but on the other hand the Carrie news could soften the drop a bit more than expected. Still, over/under $20m seems about the right range for now.

Watch Disney release 15 movies and still hit 7 billion.

Mickey Mouse...his pow-wah.

I don't wanna talk geopolitics and other such on a light-hearted forum such as this one, but as someone who knows a lot about it, I can tell you that Trump's (and you can disagree with him on everything else, I don't care) victory has massively diminished the possibility of any kind of nuclear stand-off with the world's only country with a nuclear capability roughly matching that of the USA. If you are interested in knowing more about this issue, send me a PM.

He didn't diminish shit.

He wants to hand out nukes in Asia like candy.

Just what we need. An arms race where China and North Korea is.

Nuclear deterrence is a very complex game-theory calculation. But Trump is acknowledging the fact that the more the US is committed with alliances everywhere, then the more trip-wires and commitments that the US may have to fulfill in case something goes wrong. The more allies you pledge to defend, the more the likelihood of finding yourself in some nasty situations. One more thing. When a country knows it has the US military guarantee, the more likely it is that said country may provoke a conflict calculating that the US will have to rally behind it or risk losing face. But these issues are extremely complex to say the least. Israel is one of these countries. Poland and the Baltics as well, maybe even Korea in the future.

The only 2 places in the world right now that could turn into a hot war with Russia right now is Syria and Ukraine.  Syria is pointless, both sides of that war are shit and not worth backing, its primarily the Saudis(yet again) pulling our chain there.  And if you look at a map of Europe, its pretty easy to understand why Russia doesn't want Ukraine to have anything to do with NATO.  And if you look at the map again, I'm actually surprised Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania were ever approved by NATO to join the alliance, those 3 were bound to cause tensions if Russia ever got back on its feet.

Oh boy, we're getting off topic lol.

America defeated Nazism/Fascism and opposed Communism.

That's why America was pushed as the military leader of the free world.

It worked out fine until Muslim extremism helped a new Fascist movement take the wheel.

"Hail, Hydra", indeed.

IM3 warned us too. :kitschjob:

Both sides are indeed shit, with Saudi Arabia and Iran dividing the Middle East in horrendous fashion. Saudi Arabia is absolutely horrible and has backed many terrorists in order to take down Assad and install a Sunni-led regime that backs it over Iran. But make no mistake that Iran is just as bad by wanting to preserve Assad in order to increase Shia dominance in the region. Both are playing a deadly proxy war and it will only be a matter of time before it bites them both really hard.

You and I obviously agree on Saudi Arabia. But don't underestimate Iran. Baghdad is effectively under Iranian control. Secularism...secularism...secularism...oh how it needs to fucking dominate those two theocratic states.
