Those Who Wish Me Dead, counted today at 10am EST (no showtimes on Thursday):

NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 27 (total tickets sold for Friday, 5 showtimes)
Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 0 (3 showtimes)
San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16): 12 (2 showtimes)
LA (AMC Universal): 50 (3 showtimes)

Total tickets sold in 4 theaters till today for Friday: 89.

Again almost no increase. Either there's no interest or moviegoers don't buy tickets in advance.

Spiral, counted today at 10am EST:

NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 117 (total tickets sold for Thursday) / 142+ (total tickets sold for Friday, 9 showtimes, 1 Sell Out so for this showtime more than 33 tickets were sold but I don't know how many)
Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): - / 16 (7 showtimes)
San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16): 55 / 35 (4 showtimes)
LA (AMC Universal): 187 / 226 (9 showtimes)

Total tickets sold in 4 theaters till today for today: 359 and for Friday: 419+.

Up 36% and 31%. Nice.
Rough comps: The Grudge (11.4M OW) had 312 and 246 tickets sold in the same 4 theaters on Thursday, Crawl (12.0M OW) had 261 and 245 in the same 4 theaters on the same day/Thursday. The Invisible Man (28.2M OW) had on Thursday in the same 4 theaters 759 and 784 sold tickets.
I also say OW should be between 15M and 20M. With good walk-ups 20M or even more could happen.

Last remaining theater from pre-pandemic finally put showtimes up, and I added another Regal theater. We'll see how good that GvK comp is considering some theaters had showtimes in the early afternoon. Also, it seems previews are now starting at 5PM

Spiral: SAW Thursday Showings Denver

342 tickets across 8 theaters. I'm not sure if I'll be able to count when previews start, so just for reference, Invisible Man was at 695 tickets sold when those previews started. Spiral needs to double to keep on pace, which it definitely could with some strong walkups.

So for anyone who just cant wait for Ontario Canada (Toronto) box office....well youre waiting a little bit longer. Premier Doug Ford has extended our lockdown to at least June 2, so no theatres will be opening till at least then (probably closer to July if not later imo).

Re AQP2: Didnt realize it had a 45 day theatrical window-so it will be Streaming in (well now less than 45) days. Have to wonder how much this is affecting people who will go the wait for Streaming route.

Looks like Disneys Chang Chi and Free Guys are NOT doing Disney Plus out of the gate, but will have (45 days I think) window before going to streaming.

DS total was already 39.3M last weekend, so assuming it did nothing in weekdays, 1.5M weekend will be 40.8M atleast.

Though at end of weekdays, total is 40.5M, 1.5M will mean 42M total. @Shawn

I think Wrath of Men will hold much better. Probably $4.5M or so.

Yeah I also noticed the DS cume error. Funimation reported $40,004,952 Tues cume after 39,317,269 weekend cume, so M+Tu 688k or so. Guessing 40.55ish for Th cume.

The drop % for it also corresponds to the 3,05 est instead of the 2.745 actual, so I’m guessing real prediction would be more like 1.35 wknd for 41.9 cume.

I see WoM around 4.2

A bunch of theaters got added today, hence the number of showings increasing.  Still only one to three showings per theater, and a very lackluster amount of sales at the Cinemark Q&A showings.

Showtimes expanded greatly today, thanks to previews being shifted to 5pm (rose from 38 showings to 63 showings).  That plus a few of the showings added yesterday starting to get seats sold resulted in a nice bounce in total sales today for AQP II.

Also, PWPs started being available from the 5pm to 7pm window. I'm not 100% sure if any of them were already sold, so might need to view the number of PWPs with a bit more caution than we did with GvK and MK.  Added to that is that Cruella tickets are going on sale any day now and I'll be pretty surprised if PWPs won't be available for that as well.

Might just have to make a note that x number of PWPs have been sold, but without a ticket adjustment due to a rival big opener (and a relatively late shift in PWP availability).

As I said before, it's a Black-led movie, so its advantages in tickets make it hard to compare to other movies at this moment. Still it seems good enough and judging by Inception's numbers, things should still be alright for the film

This one is kind of tight, probably gonna miss :sadno:

Spoiler

Okay, more seriously, that is some big contraction on the MK comp. A while ago I was hoping for 20 OD (with previews) but atm I’d probably go for like 12-15.

And before anybody asks, yes I know Cruella tickets are on sale. I'm definitely planning to take a look at them and am updating my spreadsheets as we speak. Feels good to be back doing this, though I'll admit I realized why adding more theaters was a bad idea in hindsight.

Where are you guys seeing $39.3M through Sunday?

Please keep in mind any figures floating around are unofficial at this point. Funimation has not been consistent in reporting, and when they were, their running totals did not match up with the daily figures they were claiming on at least 2-3 occasions. It's been a headache reconciling the actual grosses, to be honest, but since Mojo and The-Numbers are both listing $37.2 million through Sunday (the same rough estimate we received), that's what we're basing cumes on until an official source confirms otherwise.

EDIT: Never mind, I see what you guys mean about there appearing to be no weekday grosses added before last weekend. I've corrected the cume projection. Nice catch!

But that 37.2m doesn't make sense either for us to take it even for grain of salt. Unless DS didn't get any showing in the last mid-week, or else the number should be anything higher than 37.2m

I saw from cS numbers but then Gitesh tweeted so I thought it was officially reported too. Also $40M was reported on Tuesday by Funimation.
