Pretty impressive for Pirates, to be honest. It's got 30 (thirty!!) more showtimes than Alice!

Preview sellouts/showtimes. Either that or MJ 1.

It might be better to compare it to SS since it's DC.

Note, BVS in that market had more than 50% more sellouts than CW in slightly fewer showings.  SS had 70% more than GOTG in 10% more showings.

Fandango Pulse: Pirates currently averaging 90+ sales per minute, Baywatch - 20.

WW is going to want to shoot for about $15-16 mil in Previews for a HUGE breakout. But anything near $10 mil would be GREAT.

Based on current showtimes and sellouts, I would guess 10-12M in previews. We will have a clearer picture next Wednesday.

To be fair, anecdotally, the showtimes are better attended than Alice for sure. Pirates is hurting badly because it does not have the PLF screens, it is getting IMAX but Baywatch has like 80% of PLF. Next weekend Wonder Woman takes both IMAX and PLF.

GOTG2 ended up with more sellouts than the number I have in the list. That number is from Thursday morning because I could not do a Thursday evening sellout check.

Hmm....it would have to have a much larger than usual DC  internal multiplier with that to hit $100m o/w.  With $12m it would need near a GOTG2 internal of 8.5

I have no idea whether it'll have the usual DC rush or not. For some reason I think it'll be relatively backloaded compared to BVS or SS but it's just a gut feeling.

With a GOTG multiplier though, it would make it very backloaded, imo. I think it'll be backloaded as well and I think $10-12M is what it would need to get to $100-110M imo. I don't think $10-12M in previews will get it to say $130M though.

Tentatively I agree with you. It'll be interesting to see if it gets closer to MJ1

I'm actually really really excited to follow this OW because I honestly have no fucking clue what to expect. I just don't expect it to be frontloaded....other than that I have got no clue :P

Previews aren't a great indicator for the OW, Beauty and the Beast did $16m previews for example although that was in March. I get the feeling once the reviews hit, we'll see a surge in bookings.
