neither will IMO. Pirates will make at least 180m and TF5 should get over 200m. Has good trailers, summer days and is the major action release for 4th of July weekend

No chance. I can smell the doom. it's a feeling of despair i feel. it's gonna tank.

Went ~180 for both in the summer game and still think I went too high

I was never really confident in my 280m prediction, now I have deep ragrets

I think I'll have more regrets...just on the other movie, although I guess $200M is not out of the question until the movies actually open...

By the end of the weekend, I hope I have 1 out of 2 right...blowing both would be sad b/c I haven't blown a big movie since Lego Batman, which I also blew pretty handily...

I don't see TF5 making $200M if Pirates doesn't. I mean, TF4 had even worse legs than On Stranger Tides despite summer weekdays, as well.

Projecting $40m for Baywatch over Thur-Mon 5 day.

And just a few weeks ago Pirates was projected for a $115M 4-day and Baywatch a $45-50M 5-day (with The Wrap saying Paramount expects $30M, all before the dreadful reviews came out).

Memorial Day weekend just isn't what it used to be. Good luck to the Han Solo movie next year.

Han Solo will break the lull that has affected Memorial Day since 2015. It can have big hitters like The Hangover Part II, Fast 6, AWE etc but other times it underwhelms, its better to release a film a week later or the week before Memorial Day
