Not happening. Two very popular animated franchises during the summer?

Their combined total could/will be double this.

Even with Pikachu and Aladdin, the market hasn’t had a major animated film since Dragon3. Both will do way more than that, even if the two likely eat into each other.

Am I mistaken, or are you actually predicting between 220 and 250 for IX?

I just want to make sure here.

no but between now and Joker there wont be anything else over 55 domestic according to this list.

it is a foregone conclusion Episode IX is competing with Avengers: Endgame's 600-750 (unless they lowered the prices)

My local took away the shaded times so not sellouts and just added two more times - unfortunately another 3D - which brings the % of preview screens to 47% (gouge alert!).   The 3D showing gets a prime 7:30pm slot while the additional 2D is at 10:15pm .  Previous 2D shows were pretty much  scattering of front row seats and wheelchair places left.

With 2 additions the overall % drops for Thur Previews. Currently 17 shows. AIW had 19 on OD

3D

(7:15pm)  216/256 (84.38%)
(7:30pm)  6/218  (2.75%) (New)
(7:40pm)  172/205 (83.9%)
(11pm)    197/301  (65.4%)
(11:15pm) 104/256  (40.63%)
(11:30pm) 37/205  (18.04%)
(11:45pm) 30/218 (13.76%)
(12:05am) 38/218  (17.43%)

800 /1877 = 42.6%

RPX

295/ 320  294/420

295/ 320   294/420

590/640 = 92.19%

2D

(6:30pm)  272/ 301  (90.3%)

(7pm)  281 /301  (93.35%)
(8pm)  232/248  (93.35%)
(9pm)  282/301)  (93.68%)
(10:15pm) 9/255  (3.53%) (New)
(10:30pm) 269 / 301  (89.3%)

1345/1707 = 78.79%

Fan Event

251/257 = 97.66%

2986 / 4481 = 66.63%

It's like they don't like money, or something. :sadno:
