I'm guessing they wrote the "younger Meryl" storyline in the event that she didn't want to come back, and when she did, she got resigned to a glorified cameo.

 

This looks even fluffier than the first movie but it doesn't look bad. Of course, it'll make a gazillion overseas even if it sees a likely to be big drop-off domestically.

I like how the trailer builds up Cher's reveal similar to Spider-Man at the end of the Captain America: Civil War trailer lol.
