Under or over Cap1?

Definitely over, This hasn't opened in Japan and should do $20-30m there, barring a huge failure like most other places (which is not expected at the moment)

Do we have tracking or predictions for Japan?

Only this from resident Japan expert Corpse over at World of KJ (he's been following JP BO for many, many years, and has reliable predicted movies):

Solo will certainly drop. Rogue One grossed way less than every main Star Wars film in the market (including the OT!), and Solo pretty much suffers from the same major problems (no stars, and a prequel). I don't think Solo will drop 50% versus Rogue One, though, and still expect it to at least reach ¥3 billion (~$30 million). That's still pretty awful for a Star Wars release, but I don' think it'll completely tank.

$30 would be solid for Solo (RO did $36) and makes 390+ likely. It has to at least beat

277 Independence Day: Resurgence Fox $389.7 $103.1 26.5% $286.5 73.5% 2016

Underestimated the second weekend by 2.4M

Second Weekend:

UK: $4.2M

Ger: $3.67M

France: $2.77M

Aus: $2.65M

China: $2.22M

Spain: $1.56M

Russia: $1.24M

Brazil: $1.18M

Italy: $1.02M

Mex: $0.86M

Total: $21.37M (Rest: $8.97M)

I guess for this weekend:

UK: $2M

Ger: $1.7M

France: $1.3M

Aus: $1.1M

China: $0.4M

Spain: $0.6M

Russia: $0.5M

Brazil: $0.4M

Italy: $0.4M

Mex: $0.3M

Total: $8.7M (Rest: $3.9M) => 12.6M (Just for fun; third weekends of TFA: UK: $15.19M; France: $12.24; Ger: $10.59M and for TLJ: Ger: $12.19M; France: $11.19M; UK: $10.73M)

😂

Ger: $1.68M

UK: $1.60M (Ups, 40.4M lower than I expected)

Aus: $1.57M (Good Hold (JW2 didn't open here) and 40.47M higher than I thought)

France: $1.51M ($0.2M higher)

Spain: $0.58M

China: $0.42M (-81%)

Italy: $0.42M

Mex: $0.34M

Brazil: $0.28M

Russia: $0.5M (no idea about this)

Total: $8.9M (Rest: $2.85M) => $11.75M ($136.74M)

Wow, if that is true the drop in the 'Rest' is -68.2% and for the bigger ones -58.4%.

Next weekend might be below $5M (Drop higher than (or at least) 57.5%), though I hope UK, Ger, Australia and France hold really well (they did $6.36M this weekend (54.1% of the Weekend) I hope they drop around just 45% for 3.5M (the others then just need to hold better than 72.1%) this most likely won't happen due to WC).

Just for fun; fourth weekends of TFA: UK: $9.08M; Ger: $7.25M; France: $5.01M; Aus: $3.56M and for TLJ: Ger: $6.63M; France: $6.56M; UK $4.81M and RO: UK: $4M; Ger: $3.79M.

I just realized, this means that the DOM fourth Weekend might be below TFA's fourth one in UK and maybe around the one in Germany😂 which is crazy, considering the fact Solo opened with $84M and TFA with $50M and $27M.

Weekend Share of UK, Ger, Australia and France:

1st: 33.9%

2nd: 43.8%

3rd: 54.1%

4th: Maybe 64% (would need for 5M OS Weekend need 3.2M in those four markets)

Still outpacing AIW at the foreign front and that too without Japan, tremendous achievement
