edit: BBC had a panel of white people explain to me, a black man, why my community were “excited” for this wedding and it set me off.

Thats how it be. I <3 non-black people who try to tell us what is and isnt racist.

them: pepsi is racist

me: it really doesnt matter

them: IT DOES MATTER THEY ARE BEING MEAN TO YOU

@DAR

Thinking of randomly driving around Wisconsin.

Any suggestions other than cheese curds?

Madison is always a good visit.  State Capital, University of Wisconsin.  Can always visit places on State Street or Regent.  Green Bay if you want to see Lambeau but since it’s not football season probably won’t be too happening.  There’s Wisconsin Dells a lot of resort places but that’s mostly a family destination.  But there is a casino nearby same thing with Green Bay.  If you’re in Northern Wisconsin Minacqoua is a cool little town emphasis on little.  Of course there’s always some shit going down in Milwaukee.

The only region I admittedly have a blind spot is the Western part of the state.  Haven’t really visited just drove through

I will never forget having to explain to a white girl why white people with dreadlocks is a problem nobody is actually bothered about. Like I’m the dick for not giving a shit about the cultural appropriation of a white guy with dreadlocks. I’m in the most Jamaican part of south London, white guys sometimes have dreadlocks, eat patties and oxtail. Nobody cares, that’s just how it is.

So this Prince Harry story has finally crossed the line.

The media keeps acting as if this marriage to Megan Markle is some kinda great step for diversity, as if black people all across the UK are jumping for joy. Half of us didn’t even know the girl is black. I’ve never seen her claim that much of an association to her blackness. With that straightened out hair the girl just looks tanned, I don’t get it. Goddamn Halsey is blacker. None of us care. We never cared about the royal family before, we’re not gonna start now. This ain’t Obama getting elected, this is some rich people getting married. It’s fucking ridiculous.

I hadn't realised there was a big thing being made about it.  I watch Suits so I've known her heritage for years since Wendell Pierce plays her biological father in the show.

It had a good run. This season doesn't seem like too bad of an ending spot, all things considered.

honestly i love the show and i'm fine with it. i'm fine with any show that got to over 100 eps ending honestly. i always say 5 seasons is usually the sweet spot.

TBH Being owned by an outside studio and also it's at that point where it gets more expensive to renew and it's never been a high rater so FOX probably decided now was best to axe it. Universal also likely won't shop it around as they have enough episodes to syndicate it.

Do people in England actually care about the Royal Wedding?

Old people like them, old rich people love them, the rest of us don’t really care. Last wedding they gave us a day off and forced it on every major tv channel so the ratings were big. I took that day off to go see a Fast Five. I imagine that interest will plummet once the queen dies. NOBODY likes Prince Charles.

Wendell Pierce really does turn up on every tv show... the man doesn’t stop. But yeah Royal coverage has been non-stop recently. I think the royals are trying to expand their appeal.

I wonder if Magnum PI or Cagney and Lacey will make the cut for CBS, I wouldn't be shocked if both are picked up but Magnum PI seems more compatible with the likes of Hawaii Five-0 and MacGyver.

I'm still shocked Hawaii Five-0 and Blue Bloods have lasted this long, I think being on Fridays have meant they lasted a lot longer than other stablemates.

True. Im more offended by people wanting to play with my hair than what some random white dude is wearing. He can be in a Jheri curl, I dont care. I’d probably laugh.
