@TMP @filmlover I Know This Much is True first episode is one of the best episodes I've seen all year. First 5 minutes and the last 5 minutes are so tense. Ruffalo also gives the best performance of the year (including movies). This show is likely going to end up being misery porn but Ruffalo also deserves that Emmy.

But ratings wise, on LIVE alone, the first 2/3rds did 12% rating and the midnight portion totalled 8% / 24%. So it actually didn't bomb hard. That being said, it was a disaster, so I don't know if Nuno Santos will hold on for much longer. And Cláudio Ramos' career is absolutely doomed after his nightmarish performance.

 

As for Valentina, CMTV was just disgusting as usual. But this case is monstruous to say the least. I just don't get it... how can anyone do that to a kid, especially a father to his own child?

THE SCREAMS. The big paycheck they are paying him is all worth it after last night. Cláudio Ramos is viral. That shit is everywhere. The country needed this Cristina is laughing somewhere I am sure. Hell, everyone is laughing tbh. 

 

And the wild sheep on the show. And the dude putting himself on his knees in front of the sheep. What a shitshow of epic proportions.

 

Nuno Santos is all in. They are even doing a daily express show at 9:15 PM. Hopefully more memes will show up.

watched the first ep of I Know This Much is True, Mark Ruffalo & the direction is great. the rest was not as great. 

 

I have an idea where the story might be going but the way they handled the stuff with translator was odd (her name was nedra?) and I haven't read the novel this is based on but I'm pretty sure what they were teasing with the manuscript from the first 10 minutes was:

that the twins are product of incest? (maybe rape as well). and their grandfather is actually their father who raped/impregnated their mother.  I could be wrong but I think this is the most likely outcome and I thought they would actually reveal it in this episode lol.

I find it amusing how every physics or Astronomy prof I've ever had has torn apart the movie Gravity, but praises Interstellar to high heaven, whereas in the movie world Interstellar gets a lot more flack than Gravity.

I like Interstellar, but it’s not exactly surprising that it receives more scrutiny from movie watchers than Gravity. Gravity is a much more simple film (and no, I don’t mean that it’s for stupid people, I just mean that it throws significantly less shit at you), and it’s not super long or anything.
