So do you believe a sub-100% increase is impossible? I think it could go anywhere from 75% increase to 130% increase. I won’t rule out either scenario at the moment.

I dont want to even think it could have a lower jump than 80%, but i agree. TLJ posts such enormous numbers that it screws any comparisons really. I dont think anyone could really say how big its increase will be till we get the first sign of the gods. Im rooting for 120%+ though, obviously.

No way a "stronger" Christmas Eve has anything to do with the increase on CD. It's one of the busiest days of the year. 125% jump is pretty average. Even a 100% jump gets it to close to 36.

Those increases would be good to really good, as 125 % would be 40,25 Mio $ on Monday.

So I have my doubts about that, but I still hope it pulls that off.

I honestly have no Idea to expect from this day, something like +65% (=>29,5 Mio$) or +100% (35,8 Mio $) or totally crazy 125+%.

Take a look at Casino Royale for a pessimistic view. Pursuit of Happyness is the optimistic view. I don’t rule out either scenario.

To be fair, that was 6 weeks into its run. When the numbers are so small, the comparisons get a little bit hard. Though we have to obviously use the 2006 movies for our predictions.

Btw, i could see the 26th beeing bigger than Christmas Day (Discount Tuesday/having more showings for all movies than Monday). If TLJ pulls something like 35M today, i could see it increasing to nearly 40M on Tuesday. Whether that happens or not, it will be really fun to track.

Eragon opened December 15th (same as TLJ), dropped 55% on Christmas Eve Sunday, and increased 77% on Christmas Monday. Then it jumped 32% on Tuesday

Eragon is also more likely to have a similar multiplier to TLJ than something like Pursuit of Happyness.

It was a Star Wars-y Christmas for the most part, got a signed picture with Daisy and Boyega, another of Driver, Ian McDiarmid, Riz Ahmed, and Alan Tuydk. Rogue One and sequel stuff :P I collect as many signatures as I can.

As you seem to be the looniest SW loonie ive seen yet, what is your favourite SW movie? Im curious :)

Just saw All The Money in the World.  The script is a somewhat routine but well paced thriller thats elevated a great deal by its performances, direction, cinematography, and score.  Still hard to believe that whole Plummer recasting shit was pulled off, its completely seamless and he's the best part of the movie.  And theres one grisly scene that made me squirm.  Better than Scott's American Gangster IMO.
