I'm gonna say it really shines tomorrow and Sunday by playing as a family movie and crushing matinees.  But my track record on this sort of prediction is no better than 50/50

You may be right about this. At the matinee I attended today, there were parents with kids in tow even though those kids should have been in school today. All schools in my area were in session today. I would definitely expect to see plenty of kids at showings during the next three days.

Holy crap, the movie has already been leaked online...I've seen some cams around.

Hopefully that won't damage its performance. I can't wait to go to the cinema and watch it.

shitty cam versions of literally every big movie ever are online in their opening weekend.

Folks do realize that this is T'Challa (not withstanding the cameo in Cap3) first movie right?

What other first movie did this level of sales?

Wonder Woman? But WW reached 400 with a leggy run instead of any kind of massive opening. It was the anti-BvS movie, which had a massive OW but no legs to speak of.

BP will obviously behave differently from WW with the massive presales and OW.

As others noted, this is now typical. No big deal. Won't affect box office any more or less than it has for every other movie of the past year or two or three.

This is not a case of something like Wolverine being leaked online a month before release.

So I pretty much loved every moment of this movie. It was amazing! Loved the characters, the setting, the action! Deserving of all the hype imo. Also deserves all the money. Wish I could’ve seen it again right then, but all the other shows were sold out.

If BP really does do about 70 for Friday, I don't see how it misses 200 for the 4 day.  I mean, I guess it's possible to miss it but Civil War did 192 million with a 68% drop on a non holiday Monday.  So a 175 weekend should all but assure it hits 200.

Ouch these numbers would easily make it the most frontloaded Thurs to Friday a Marvel film has seen. Great number overall but damn underwhelming given that Thursday number.

OMG, NO! Rollercoaster has started! What new number? It was mid 70s 2 hours ago and that was an upstick from DHD. What happened?

People be saying 70m now. Which actually makes it most frontloaded super hero film opening day ever. Not just Marvel.

Wait for better updates, newest source is only Gitesh
