What BP does is mindblowing but i am more impressed by WW in this list when considering with what each movie opened amd how much they grossed on their 3rd weekends.

BP had a 56+ OS weekend so could add 135 OS from current markets, 100 from China and 175 dom (675+ dom) for

898+135+90+175=~1300 ww

Could do 10-15 more current OS, 20-30 more China and 10-15 more Dom for 1340-1360 ww

Poor Wonder. Its impressive box office performance got so lost in the shuffle. $300M WW on a $20M budget.

Lol yeah poor Wonder, I'm sure Lionsgate feels terrible about this.

Black Panther continues it's amazing run. My theater was almost completely sold out of all showings yesterday for this. Very busy for a 3rd weekend, very packed.

Also nice to see my other favorites Jumanji & Peter Rabbit doing great too.

Just insane that it will beat all non-Avengers CBMs worldwide.

...Keeping my fingers crossed that it will hit that nice, round $500 million mark by tomorrow. Come on, Disney! Black Panther didn’t need your help the last two weekends, and may not need t for this one, but if it does, I think it’s more than earned the rare Disney fudge. #letsgo

Turns out it doesn’t need the help! What a great Saturday number!:insane:

Thor probably would have had a better hold if Justice League hadn't come out that third weekend and cut its legs off.

Definitely, imo. The multi was very much on the low side for MCU films received that well. And that 3rd weekend drop is really the only reason for the lower multi, otherwise holds were very good. Think it could have challenged GotG1 and Homecoming DOM w/o JL.

Ragnarok would've had a hell of a lot better legs if Justice League didn't come out 2 weekends later.

Still did pretty well all things considered, though. Big increase from the previous Thor movie, both DOM and WW.

Ragnarok would have dropped over 50% on third weekend no matter what. All movies have harsh drops on pre-Thanksgiving weekend.

Probably would have been around 50% like DH2 and Orient Express that weekend. A 50% drop that weekend instead of -62% could have easily added a solid 20m+ DOM with its subsequent holds.

Wonder probably made managed to recoup the losses of Power Rangers and still made a nice profit for Lionsgate!

Fox Searchlight has done really well with Shape of Water and Three Billboards. I'm sure they'll be gagging for the next Martin McDonagh movie.
