Plus as HD copy hit the internet 18 days after opening day......

By then it had already dropped around 60 and 55% on its 2nd and 3rd weekends and it's weekday holds weren't anything to write home about either.

The issue with Civil War was that it turned into a super fanboy event with a little appeal to the casuals.

IW has instead become a must-see film for anyone with some interest in comic book movies.

Also BvS sucking tainted the whole versus concept a month before the film was released, not to mention that, plot wise, the two films are remarkably similar.

The issue with Civil War is what some of us said all along: it was a Captain America movie not an Avengers one. The ceiling was always much lower. Combined with BvS already doing the whole hero v hero thing like a month prior and the GA just not going for that concept like they do heroes v villains.

I love Civil War but I too prefer Hero v Villains stories.

Jimbo?

Don't count your eggs before they hatch -- Infinity War may yet beat Titanic WW

Still a possibility, albeit low in probability.

how many times does this need to be said. Civil War had poor legs because it's story had a lot of stupid moments and the much hyped airport scene (which some called the greatest action scene in superhero movie history in some early tweets about the movie) ended up being just a rather humorous brawl instead of something more emotional.

I though Cameron has a bit more class then that.

And as usual too many people are Manic Depressive: either on top of the world about the success of a film or down in the dumps.

Reacting in a calm and neutral manner to fairly medium information is pretty boring. If you just sarcastically exaggerate everything, you end up with a lot more to say.
