Jurassic Park franchise has broken the ow record 3x. That’s why people who thought this was going sub 100 mil ow were laughed out the door.

Because 120m is such a massive difference? Lol. Look, maybe it does do way more than that this weekend, all I'm saying is it is uncharted territory if that's the case. Seems silly to predict something that has never happened with such confidence.

And JP3 would have broken the Record too in 2001, if it hadnt opened on a Wednesday.

We have it wrong apprently. Ridley Scott's Alien is actually a spin off of the Alien v. Predator franchise. And, when Jurassic and Fast franchises crossover, Spielberg's Jurassic Park is then a spin off as well.

As far as FK goes, with those previews, I think it will finish around 135M.

So the kingdom isn’t falling after all, good for it. Still probably won’t be a top 20 OW, which is an unprecedented drop from #1, but at least it has a good chance to make the yearly top 5 now.

I'm not convinced of this... JP3 might have but that wasn't a lock. Regardless, bummer that JWFK is the first that not only did not but won't even come within $100M of the OW DOM record. Every run comes to an end I suppose...

This is when reality just strikes. The fifth JP movie just cant compare to multigenerational event films like TFA or IW.
