As much as I think those comps are wrong, I do have a consistent set of comps which has been pointing to a low to mid 50s opening.

 

Pending the final update in about four hours, IW and BP comps point to low to mid 60s.  Everything else I have points to mid 50s.

 

I suspect the answer will be in the middle of the two worlds. :)

Well you may not know but i usually based projections looking at 20 theaters around and basing them to past films.

 

Based on what I can see is that almost every theater is well ahead of SW7 but the biggest theater downtown still is nowhere near as crazy as SW7 so I think it wont break the record yet...

Star Wars is obviously big everywhere in North America but isn't it an even bigger deal than Marvel here in Canada? I remember, for instance, Rogue One continued to dominate here in Canada in January as the USA started moving on.
