98% rt

excellent runtime

this is now the best superhero film ever made. I think black panther is next followed by Thor ragnarok and dark knight / Batman begins are next and then Wonder Woman.

Ranking as follows

1. Spider-Man no way home

2. Black panther

3 Thor ragnarok

4. The dark knight

5. Batman begins.
6 Wonder Woman

7 The avengers

If you mean RT percentage, what just means positive or negative acceptance, not to be the best or the worst, we have this:

1. No way home: 97

2. Black panther: 96

3. The dark knight: 94

*. Endgame: 94

*. Iron Man: 94

6. Thor: Ragnarok: 93

*. Wonder Woman: 93

*. Spider-man 2: 93

8. Guardians of the galaxy: 92

*. Homecoming: 92

But I insist that this score means percentage of positive reviews relative to total not the score of each film. A critic can like a film and give it a 6 over 10 or a 10 over 10. Both reviews are added as fresh in RT. The average rating is what makes the difference:

1. The Dark Knight: 8.6

2. Black Panther: 8.3

*. Spider-man 2: 8.3

4. Endgame: 8.2

5. The Avengers: 8.1

6. The Dark Knight Rises: 8.0

7. No way home: 7.9

8. Guardians of the galaxy: 7.8

9. Iron Man: 7.7

*. Wonder Woman: 7.7

*. Homecoming: 7.7

*. Civil War: 7.7

*. Batman Begins: 7.7

Metacritic uses ratings too and we have this:

1. Black Panther: 88

2. The Dark Knight: 84

3. Spider-man 2: 83

4. Iron Man: 79

5. Endgame: 78

*. The Dark Knight Rises: 78

7. Guardians of the Galaxy: 76

*. Wonder Woman: 76

9. Civil War: 75

10. Thor: Ragnarok: 74

...

*. No way home: 72

Weird reminder that spoilers for big movies tend to end up on porn sites too.

Don’t ask how I found out

Pretty obvious that you searched for "T&A: two men shoot copious white fluid" in search of NWH deets but were redirected to porn results by mistake.

It could be 1.5 hours for me but I ain't seeing this at midnight, 6pm showing tomorrow is fine, which is 18.5 hours away. We still have restrictions here so 100 person capacity. Pity I won't be able to watch it with a full house since that would be amazing, but having just coming out of a 3.5 month lockdown on the 3rd means I'm just glad I can see it at all. 🙏

Also, quick note folks:

the critics aren’t trying to ruin/make rotten Spiderman. We’ve seen what a hit job looks like with Eternals and this is not that!!

Rewatchting the Spider-man movies, the MCUness after the others hits you like a dumbtruck. Every character in the highschool is like this quirky clever jokester like its an community episode, scene to not have room to breathe even goods ones just have to be interrupted by a joke and they made aunt may hot which is kinda the only character trait she has, because they are clearly wanting that Stark is the only mentor figure.

I'll be sitting down to see this in two hours. Will share my thoughts after!

Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Verse are both incredible. Top Tier blockbusters. Spider-Man 2 is especially important to me, it's Raimi firing on all cylinders and I think captures that timeless quality. It's sweeping, romantic and epic in ways that blockbusters just aren't anymore.

Spider-Man perfectly encapsulates that era of Sam Raimi in it's direction. If that's not your bag then it's a shame because it's so much damn fun and is full of charm. But I will forgive you.

I very much enjoy both MCU Spider-Man films. They're on a similar level for me. Homecoming gets a slight edge because it has some stronger directional choices with it's John Hughes inspirations. But both still fail to stand out in the blockbuster world. I struggle to recall anything truly distinct or iconic but the MCU are usually pretty good at telling a solid story. I also I didn't realise how much I liked Holland Spider-Man until that Infinity War scene which gets me every time.

The Amazing Spider-Man is fine. The chemistry between Garfield/Stone is off the charts but the rest of the film just kind of exists.

Spider-Man 3 is one of those that is a decent blockbuster taken on it's own. Raimi's direction/Bill Popes photography are still top tier and the action sequences are fantastic. My problem is how it takes the baton from the previous films and just trips over it. It's incredibly frustrating. That black suit Spider-Man theme rocks though.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is a huge mess, all over the place. It's stronger visually than the previous one but that's not enough to save it from the myriad of confused sub plots and character arcs.

I eagerly await Richard Brody's and Armond White's takes!!!

I know Armond White has been widely seen as a comical attention seeking troll, but Richard Brody actually seems to be a 'respected' film critic who really does read like a tryhard that thinks hes much smarter than he actually is.  Even a lot of his positive reviews are pretentious word salads.

it was entertaining as usual MCU.. but I just don't think it's really that great film at all.

avg MCU for me. eventually execution of story is meh. (But I didn't love FFH too so.. )

I'm intrigued as to what I'll think of it being that I don't really like what the MCU has done with the character tbh. The previous movies got amazing reviews too, but I didn't like either of 'em, so I'm wondering how this one will play out for me. At least it has Strange, looking forward to seeing him (and Wong for hopefully more than five seconds).

I'm at least hopeful that I'll enjoy it enough since I have two IMAX sessions booked.

What is the condition for an A+ cinemascore? 😬

Ultra high! Saw multiple clips and it's fantastic. Scenes pack the punch. This is a perfect blend of spectacle and emotion. I think this will pass A+ with flying colors and have loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong legs. Corona or not, repeat business is going to be off the charts.
