No biggie, I don’t think anyone expected THIS.

Even I faltered I dropped my previews to a paltry $30.5M in the contest 😓

What a loser 😏

Who has the highest previews for the prediction anyway, I think my 36 is toast

I need to look through the contest at this point. I am almost sure my 35m prediction will be way too low at this point, unless the movie totally tanks in the final week. In fact I now think IW is in serious trouble for the full weekend.

That's crazy to think, and you're right (as long as audience reception is on par with the previous 2 MCU SM films). Right now I'm putting the following % on it...

> TROS OW = 99% (could possibly have horrible WOM and fall below it)
> Avengers OW = 75% (the early numbers definitely point to it, but again WOM could be bad)
> TLJ OW = 60% (same as Avengers, just a bit higher)
> TFA OW = 35% (perhaps NWH will be much more front loaded than even IW, or WOM isn't quite enough to get it there)
> IW OW = 30% (only a $9M difference between TFA and IW, so same idea just a bit higher)
> $275M OW = 15% (we would need at least $45M previews and 6x IM. Doable numbers but getting up there!)
> $300M OW = 5% (I mean this would still be about 25% fewer ticket sales than Endgame, given increased ATP).
> Endgame OW = 1% (Not going to seriously entertain this but hey, it's the record).

Omicron will make sure 150M won't be touched. Remember when Eternals pointed to a 100M OW? Lol.

0/10 quality analysis… but if this misses what PS suggests by as much as Eternals missed 100M, it will still get — 175M or so

Let's have some sympathy for the theater employees who will be asked (i.e. "required") to work that night...and probably not paid anything extra beyond what they would normally get.

Or...things could uptick in a positive way in two weeks, and Omicron could turn out to be Unicron's never heard-of younger cousin, PewDieCron.  We just don't know what's going to happen.

Or...we could be screwed again.  😂  No.  My gut feeling is: SPIDER-MAN will stick and do well -- but everything else (Matrix, West Side Story, etc.) will suffer.
