Unassuming run, its global gross might not even surpass Hidden Figure’s domestic numbers. The people hyping up its box office performance were just trying to have it appear as some juggernaut that the Oscars cannot ignore.

um idk, yes I think there are a few people in the minority hyping it as the box office run to save the box office (hyperbole a little in there), when in reality it's pretty much doing what an adult-oriented awards-contender coming out at Christmas with great reviews and an A-list cast should be doing.

TLJ had a 6.56 6th weekend (also post MLK weekend). Added 2.425x that to the cume.

Same gives TROS 5.17*2.425 = 12.54 more for 514.1 dom (2.9x)

Targeting 1075 ww.

TROS>TS4>Joker on ww charts in the end, all within 5 of each other.

Joker without China though  :stirthepot:

Gretel And Hansel shall revive horror box office.

Not sure. The Grudge and The Turning burned a lot of hype for this kind of movie.

Besides, this one has had almost zero marketing and the embargo lifts only on Thursday ( day of release ). It's obvious this is also getting dumped

At least the clip is cool.

I am seeing BB3 sunday around 10.5m based on MTC1. So the actuals should increase again by a bit. I dont have any other numbers.

I just have to say you've taken theatre tracking to a whole new level. From years ago when Han would use comps from his theatre, and I'd come up with comps from the theatre I worked at, we all walked so that you could run. Thank you for all of this work you do for us box office nerds.

1075-514.1 - 544.6 = 16.3

After 5.5m international weekend(almost - 50%) 16.3 is very optimistic assumption. Although dom especially sunday should be better.

Should have overindexed big time. Anyway I am bored tracking these movies. Hopefully we see a big movie that makes tracking interesting.
