Not quite as bad as it looks, as it lost 20 tickets at a showing when (what was likely) a group sale went up in smoke.  And, as @M37 noted, the Super Bowl is probably exasperating the tendency for Saturdays-before-release being soft.

 

Still, with that said:  Could have been better, locally.

That's a large reason why, yes.  At the moment, that fan event accounts for 22% of all sales and 54% of all 3D sales (73 tickets, ftr).

 

Of the rest of the 3D sales, 4DX/DBOX accounts for 13% of all sales and 33% of all 3D sales (44 tickets).  The other 13% of 3D sales (18 tickets), more or less, are scattered hither and yon at a few other showings.

Depends really on the movie. Some movies get updated more than a year before release, some just a couple months.

 

But yeah, The Flash does have some data available, but the last data point was done last week, so no update on any Super Bowl bump. But we should get information on the movie sometime this week. They typically update on Wednesday and Friday.

Universal attempted to do something similar in 2020 with an even longer pre-sale window (approx 110 days), but the 'rona eventually put an end to that.

which means 18m previews and 28m friday should be enough for 100m OW. 

 

While its remote possibility, there is sliver of a chance of it going below that. Especially friday if things go south tomorrow.
