Doesn't seem likely, the trailer for this says "This Spring" and the studios probably want a bigger movie to kick off the season than one whose predecessor barely hit $200M worldwide. Considering the previous one made $468M while being a day-and-date title, WB moving Godzilla x Kong a few weeks to that date seems like a given scenario IMO. The entire plot of Afterlife is literally continuing the Gozer story from the original.
