Because the trailers and Visual effects actually looks good for this film unlike The Flash so it’s easier to believe screening reports when the product actually looks good. The footage I saw at Comic Con blew everyone away. I think they should still move it back to October 6 to avoid Saw but it’s probably too late now, and also so it has two weeks of IMAX now with Kraven gone. Agreed, I've never understood the criticism that the characters are underdeveloped. Cassian in particular, even before the show, was one of the most complex of all the heroes in Star Wars. The other character too have more depth than in the average blockbuster. The film does a great job at showing that the Rebels verses the Empire wasn't a simple good verses evil struggle.
