Skyfall felt like a James Bond theme park ride to me. There's a ton of fan service in it to the point where it became distracting. But it's a gorgeous film with a lot of well-shot action and something of a brain, so I had fun with it. Casino's definitely better, though.

I loved Skyfall, I love Mendes and I love Craig, but I think they are in danger of holding onto Craig too long. He'll be pushing 50 by the time they wait for Mendes(2016 will be the 10 year anniversary of CR!), and while I'm aware Moore was nearly 60 when he finally gave up on the role, there has never been as physical a Bond as Craig. I'm sorta done with the "brawler" Bond. I'd like to see them get back to the more suave version.

That said, I'll still be eager to see where they go with Craig's 4th entry. Fourth entries for Bond actors are usually pretty crazy. Thunderball, Moonraker and Die Another Day. Rocket packs, trips into space and laser beams from the sky. Need I say more?

Mendes has never done a sequel to my knowledge.  But coming off 1 Billion WW, I'm not shocked he's leaning towards just coming back and doing the sequel.  I've always liked his style as a director visually, he did bring a lot of style to Bond.  I'm fine with him doing a sequel.

It's thrilling they take a more realistic approach to Bond but I sorely miss the bombastic Bond like MOONRAKER, GOLDENEYE (the tank scene), DIE ANOTHER DAY with all the exotic gadgets. I don;t know if the producers will go back to that mold. Edited by zackzack

Im pretty disappointed. I like bond because each version is similar yet different cause of a new directors vision. Now i can expect the next 2 to be like Skyfall part 2 & 3.

I'm also disappointed. Skyfall was good, but it wasn't great. Mendes made some huge errors in Skyfall, such as killing the Bond girl way too fast, and having an extremely disappointing final climax scene. Now we have to put up with Mendes for two more films? Sigh.

The absence of the Bond girls was the only problem I had with Skyfall, other than that is it s a fucking fantastic film.  The acting, direction, cinematography, story, action, villain, were all very, very good.

You really can't complain about Sam Mendes coming back, Skyfall is definitely one of the best bond movies to date.

The Bond girl problem, and the way Skyfall's final battle ended, in a very dull way were my main issues with it. If Mendes can fix those issues for the next films then I won't have a problem with him doing the next 2.

The Bond girl was M.

I'd say it was artistically bold.

And people have short term memories when it comes to Bond girls, I am watching all the Bond films in Blu Ray from the first one and Vesper from Casino Royale is an exception, not the rule.

You would cringe many times at the shit bond girls used to do or suffer in the early films. So far,I have seen the first 10, only the ones in Goldfinger and the one with Lazenbie weren't ridiculous.

The saga was notoriously macho and mysoginistic for a long time.
